LE MUSÉE DE L’ORANGERIE

Inwood loves Le Musée de l’Orangerie, temple of the impressionist painting

Le musée de l'Orangerie is a museum of impressionist and post-impressionist pieces located in the famous Jardin des Tuileries. The impressionist movement is an artistic movement from the 19th century. The painters of this movement highlighted fleeting impressions as well as fluid movements. One of these painters is Claude Monet, a famous French artist, many of his paintings are masterpieces. Indeed, the museum owns one of the greatest impressionist painting: Claude Monet's Nymphéas series.

When we arrived in this must-see artistic place, we fell face to face with Monet's famous work. This painting spreads over the 4 walls of the gallery, we were surprised and impressed by the size and breadth of this painting. In the middle of the room, we were able to sit down and take the time to observe. We were amazed by the soft, springtime colour palette. This watercolor of shades immediately immersed us in a verdant flower garden.

Be impressed by the artwork of Le Musée de l’Orangerie!

We love Le Musée de l'Orangerie for its Impressionist works of incomparable beauty and softness. In particular, the Nymphéas series, this world famous work is our favourite.

We also recommend Le Musée de l'Orangerie for its location in the heart of Paris. After or before visiting the museum, you can walk in the Jardin des Tuileries, a park located in the 1st arrondissement, which separates the Louvre Museum and the Place de la Concorde.

We also suggest that you plan time to visit this museum, which is full of many artistic treasures. Many seats are installed allowing you to enjoy a view of its works and to observe the smallest detail of each painting.
