THE ÉTÉ DU CANAL

INWOOD HOTELS LOVES THE ÉTÉ DU CANAL IN PARIS

You are wondering what’s going on in Paris this summer ?Don't worry, the French capital is full of activities to occupy your holidays!

This year, for the 15th time, the "Eté du Canal" festival returns to Paris and takes place on the banks of the Ourcq and Saint-Denis canals. From 9 July to 14 August, you will be able to find numerous activities that will allow you to enjoy the nice weather with friends and family. If you are in Paris in June, you will have the opportunity to attend the opening of the festival with a floating concert by the Académie des Jeunes Talents Philippe Jaroussky.

To celebrate the bicentenary of the Ourcq Canal, many activities await you. They will allow you to discover this iconic canal of Paris built 200 years ago by Napoleon and extending over 97 km.

A FUN AND FESTIVE FESTIVAL IN PARIS

This year's programme includes fun, festive, intelligent and sporting activities. With floating concerts, cruises, workshops ... The best part is that access to the festival is totally free.

We recommend taking a river trip along the canal, that will be a real breath of fresh air. Many cruises are themed to help you discover Paris through street-art or the places that will host the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We advise you to book your tickets for these popular cruises in advance.

A new feature of this year's programme is the film tour. During a stroll, you will discover the filming locations of films made in Paris and to finish, you will land in the Parc de La Villette for an open-air cinema session.

For the more sporty among you, there will be kayak rides on the Ourcq canal and other water activities such as paddleboats and pedal boats.

Finally, to set the mood on the canal banks, numerous concerts will take place with DJs, musicians and singers performing on boats turned into concert stages. Part of the programme has been unveiled, and you will have the opportunity to listen to Banlieues Bleues, Rhizome festival, Divertimento or the Metro musicians.

With this festival, you will spend a wonderful summer in Paris!
