The Ourcq Canal

AN ORIGINAL CANAL

Summer is the opportunity to enjoy the sun and have a good time at the Ourcq Canal!

The Ourcq Canal has its source in the Aisne to jump into the Marne and finish in the Seine via the Bassin de la Villette.

To learn its history, I advise you my dear readers, to begin with the Park of the Bassin de la Villette where begins a pedestrian route along the canal! This course is much more than a stroll along the water, it will make you discover the stages of its history but also the influence of the Canal on its environment.

Deckchairs, barges, shows, pleasant walks along the docks, electric boats ... It is like being far from Paris!

Enjoy this original place to get away from it all. On foot or by bike, running or walking, we discover a place of history in full transformation.

THE PAVILLON DES CANAUX

I discovered during a beautiful spring day an unusual place that I have at heart to share with you: The Pavillon des Canaux!

This magical place is a bit all at once: a workplace, a cafe, a bar-restaurant! At Pavillon des Canaux you can attend “Do It Youself” workshops around handiwork and gardening.

This is a pretty Maisonette placed at the edge of the canal Saint Martin, very atypical because all the rooms of a house are represented in this place (kitchen, dining room, bedrooms, bathroom ...).

AlëxOne and Supakitch, two artists, painters, French illustrator have focused on an original and trendy decoration! So you can sit in an armchair in the room or at the kitchen table!

To fully enjoy the summer, you can enjoy a large terrace with wooden tables and chairs!

See you soon!
